Antique German Sterling Silver 9.5” Rococo Picture Frame w/ Cherub 4″ x 6″ picture German sterling silver picture frame in ornate Rococo Revival style, with floral scrollwork and a winged cherub motif. Stamped “Sterling” and “Germany.” Circa 1890–1910. This striking antique German sterling silver picture frame is a large and ornate example of Rococo Revival design, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. Richly decorated with floral scrolls and an expressive cherub at the base, the frame exudes Old World craftsmanship and elegance. Stamped “Sterling” and “Germany” along the side, the frame is made of solid .925 silver and was likely produced for export to the U.S. market around 1890–1910. The back retains its original wood panel and an attached folding stand. Please see picture of hinges and hinge pins (missing/replaced part). This beautifully crafted antique picture frame is made of solid sterling silver (.925 fine), as confirmed by the stamped marks “Sterling” and “Germany” on the side of the frame.
