Pre 1936 grip, solid nickel fittings, crossguard marked “Wm” (SA-Gruppe Westmark), an early group from the late 1920s subsequently broken up into a number of SA-Gruppen in the early 1930s. The owner may have been promoted in 1938 because that’s the year he purchased a new blade and scabbard. The new blade is marked “RZM M7/66 1938 Eickhorn Solingen” with a nice dark motto “Alles fur Deutschland.” The scabbard has a special order, eye-popping paint job, a seamless, raised, textured swirling pattern that looks like the leather scabbard found on an NSKK honor dagger. The blade is like-new with light runner marks, grip and fittings show light wear, the scabbard is mint.
