Antique English sterling silver cream jug modeled as Mr. Punch. Made by Richard Hodd & Son. Fully hallmarked with the lion passant, leopard’s head, date letter “T” for 1894, and maker’s mark RH over RH. Registered design number Rd 242558 is stamped on the base as well as “LL”. The jug weighs approximately 55 grams and stands around 3.5 inches (5.9 cm) tall. An approx 2.5mm L shaped hole is present on the left cheek near the engraved initial and a pin hole below the spout. No other major dents, splits, or repairs observed. There is visible fire scale in areas. Surface tarnish and wear consistent with age. The piece is unpolished. Hallmarks are clear and legible.
